Sarasota Chilllounge Night - February 2008

This past Saturday night, Historic Palm Avenue was transformed into an Ultra Plush, South Beach-esque Lounge Party for the first annual "Bacardi Chillounge Night". Local Gallery owner Rainer Scheer dreamed up and organized the event, the likes of which have never been witnessed on Sarasota streets or clubs. Search lights, Food from 6 of Sarasota's finest restaurants, Bacardi Mohitos, Grolsch Beer, 35 sets of uva hip lounge furniture, Opera singers, Flamenco guitarists, models on the runway, scantily-clad Brazilian dancers parading down the center of Palm doing the Samba, Cigar Bar, boats, $140,00 Audi's and who could forget the Egyptian like procession of models in bikini's being hoisted and carried in draped day beds. Sounds like a normal Saturday evening downtown right, not on your life! if you were there, you know what I'm talking about. If not, buy a ticket to Rio for Carnival and you can experience a little of what attendees were treated to. Thanks Rainer!!
